I don’t know if I am the first to say something about this, but do Johnathan and
homophobe™#3 have the same character design??? I thought at first that it might have been his representation of internalised homophobia, but I don’t know???
It was very fun to write this one and helped me to focus my thoughts on this elusive class. Thank you and I hope that you like it! You can message me if you would like to discuss more or need clarification.
Background
Before we begin discussing the specifics of a Rogue of Space, it is best to start with the Hero’s aspect, in this case, Space! Space is the aspect of creation. It is the random evolution and mutations guided through an inner intuition that leads the Hero to be exactly what they need to be, taking them to incredibly new places. Space is the physical realm of the world and the now. This can take the form of precision, fashion or even depth perception (think of Jade’s dexterity with a rifle, which requires amazing precision and depth perception).
The second part of the classpect is the class, in this case, the Rogue! Rogues, unlike the Thieves, have an absence of and doubt with their aspect. Their mishandle with the aspect causes them to easily give their aspect up (literally and figuratively). They must learn to take their aspect for themselves, instead of always relinquishing it to others.
Analysis
Rogues of Space would have problems with creation and creativity. This could manifest itself in the Rogue having issues with producing new ideas for books, fashion. They may think of a tonne of new ideas for books, OCs, clothing, etc., constantly flitting from one idea to another in an effort to be creative, but later scratch them for not being good enough. Mirroring an artist who starts paintings, but never finishes them and starts another. Meanwhile someone may sneak in and steal the idea from them and makes it their own. They may be constantly being stolen from as well since Space is also the aspect of physical reality. This also might mean that they have problems with personal image, their fashion and how they physically look, changing their styles frequently to try to find something that they like. Due to their incredibly patient nature, they alternatively may have zero personal space as everyone is always taking theirs. Unfortunately, they might feel that they also are lonely, emulating another facet of Space, and try to give away their Space to be noticed. Rogues of Space might also have problems coping with change in things around them.
As Space is also about intuition, randomness and precision, Rogues of Space might lack any intuition and feel that they have no idea what to do and their imprecise nature contributes to them seemingly randomly changing to different subjects. However, they might dislike this random feeling that everything is random without meaning–that it is just how it happened to be.
They would need to own up to having Space, finally taking it for themselves for a change.
Potential Powers
Rogues of Space would have powers similar to Roxy, as the class is what determines the abilities. They would be able to reallocate (or steal) the physical properties of an object, such as its energy, size, velocity or location to another object, or person, redirecting, for example, a meteor in the Reckoning at the Black King. The only catch is that whatever they steal has to be given to something else, so they would shrink something and make something bigger in the process. They might also be able to steal creations from others, taking a recently alchemized weapon for the team and in return giving the recently victim a lovely piece of build grist. This might be a stretch, but they could switch the positions of two people as they reallocate Space.
Of course! I hope that this is pleasing to you and if you want further explanation, do not be afraid to message me! Also, remember that this is generalisation and these problems can manifest them differently for everyone.
The Page of Heart is one who invites the exploitation of Heart or invites exploitation through Heart.
Background
Let’s begin with the aspect of this title: Heart! Heart is the aspect of Soul. It is about being who one truly is on in the inside, embracing every part of oneself. It is about being uniquely you. It is empathy and connecting to the others’ souls, feeling with them. Feelings that drive one to be biased and have passionate morals. The second part of this Hero of Heart is the class, being the Page. Pages are ones who passively exploit their aspect. Unlike their active counterparts, Pages actually have a deficit in their aspect. They differ from the Knights in that they overcome this by showing an excessive display of their aspect (a blatant statement proving their deficit). Although they may fail in their long journey to fill their aspect-shaped void, they need to continue on, typically growing to be some of the strongest players.
Analysis
Pages of Heart would have a deficit in Heart, lacking in empathy, individuality, a sense of self, and emotion. They follow their strong desire to be more emotional, trying to overcompensate for these deficiencies by being over the top in these qualities. Pages of Heart would try to be empathetic and caring towards other people, but go overboard, seeming overly emotional or a fake, which shows their true inaptitude at feeling for others. They could also try to make up for this by being very affectionate to everyone to present the front of a tender person. Always wondering what is wrong and to tell them and talk about it sometimes results in the Page of Heart infringing on people’s emotions. They would not know what they are totally passionate about and so to cover this absence, they would try to be committed to a topic, mirroring an obsession as they yet again go overboard with it. This could especially show itself as an investment in a particular ship, as most Heart players seem predisposed to shipping (;3). Considering their passions, they may overreact to everything, presenting their emotions in a very open way, giving way to all of their emotions no matter what. Such as with the shipping example, they could squeal and freak out over any form of affection or the slightest chance that their ship is becoming a reality, constantly talking about it and how their feelings are saying that it will happen. When presented with an option, they would fully embrace their emotions to decide which course of action they should take. Instead of relying on rational thought, they would defer to their emotions and if that outcome follows their morals, if it will make everyone else happy.
On a basic note, Pages of Heart may not truly know how they love, so they throw themselves into a relationship, consistently telling themselves how much they love this person and this is how love should be.
Pages of Heart would also lack individuality and uniqueness. They do not truly understand themselves and who they are. They pretend that this is not the case by telling everyone all about themselves and their obsessions, feeling, etc. “This is who I REALLY am!” This particular player may be the type to change their hair colour rapidly and such to be “unique.” Roleplaying would be an interesting way for them to try to determine their true self, what they like to do, think, speak, etc.
As Pages invite exploitation of their aspect, all of the attempts at being more empathetic would allow someone to easily manipulate them through their feelings. People could easily exploit their dramatic nature and intense feelings to doing what they want. Their empathetic nature could be used to someone’s advantage by someone bemoaning how bad they have it, the Page would rush to their aid and the like. Their morality could easily be taken advantage of by someone, whether intentional or not.
The Page of Heart needs to keep working at developing these traits. It has a long way to go, but it is on the right path by at least trying to fix these problems. They must come to terms with who they are and their emotions. By knowing who they are, they can be true with their emotions, desires and biases, filling their Heart-shaped void.
Possible Powers
Upon godtiering (and adorning booty shorts), a Page of Heart might be able to create an aura of the power of love (how this affects people you can decide). Interestingly, they could exploit the different unique aspects of a person’s inner self to achieve goals. For example, the heartless killing side of person may be exploited in the battle against the Black King in order to make a killing machine in battle. On the contrary, they could exploit the pacifist side of an individual to mollify them out of a horribly detrimental plan to everyone else. This could also work with what the subject desires and loves.
Thank you for your ask! It was really fun to answer. If you are not satisfied with this, feel free to message us your concerns, or if you want further explanation on a topic discussed in this!
The Prince of Breath is one who destroys Breath or destroys with Breath.
To start the analysis of this title, it is also best to start with the aspect. Breath is the aspect of freedom. It is the fickle breeze that blows on its own whims, choosing to do what it wants independently of others. It is a disconnect from others as it solely keep its options open and liberty high, always going with the flow. Its opposite is Blood, that of unity and bonds.
For this Hero of Breath, the class is Prince, which is an active destroyer class. Princes seem to arise from sessions that have too much of their aspect. Princes are stubborn in their tendencies as they destroy their aspect both externally and internally, mirroring their other aspect. Their challenge is to not be destroyed in their own destruction.
Analysis
As a Prince of Breath, one would resemble Blood as they cut down Breath. Instead of being aloof, Princes of Breath would be very committed to an issue on which they will obstinately focus. Similarly, they would be good in groups and have many connections upon which to achieve their goals. This would make them essential enforcers of friendships, not letting someone leave it so easily (pretty clingy in this sense), holding them through obligation and creating a need for their bond. They would destroy the other options that have led to the divide and freedom in the bond. Their doubly stubborn nature (a combination of Blood’s unity and simply being a Prince) forces them to always follow their path and what they want to do, narrow-mindedly sticking to their one option that they have chosen. In a sense, they are predictable and allow others to rely on them, rather than being a distant member of the session. Due to their highly inflexible nature, they would be good at uniting a group, unwilling to let them chose another option.
Princes of Breath also destroy through Breath. This can be symbolised through the ignoring of a co-player if they are not subscribing to the Prince’s idea, effectively destroying them through no one else being able to help–independence of everyone else. This also means that they would be able to destroy by becoming disconnected from everyone else. They have married themselves to their one, single option and will not stop at anything to achieve it, leaving the group when they need them the most to accomplish their self-assigned task. This can make them independent of others at times. In addition, Princes seem to be very physically strong, so a Prince of Breath might destroy someone through fluid movements and seemingly detached jabs, all qualities of Breath–the wind. They could also trap people and tie them down, a reflection of Blood and its bondage.
As a Prince of Breath destroys the freedom to choose and ties people down, they must not become to overburden with all of the obligations that they have made. Their willfulness might also land them in a situation where they are completely independent of the group, especially when they need them the most, their destruction of Breath finally catching up to them. They have no more options from which to choose and their single path crushes them. This, they must be wary of happening.
A fully realised Prince of Breath would be excellent at knowing when to destroy options, independence and freedom. For example, a rapidly crumbling session due to teammates unwillingness to work together and doing their own things could have the Prince of Breath destroying all of the other options and having the team only being able to work towards one goal.
Potential Powers
A Prince of Breath, being an active destruction class, might be able to literally destroy the Breath (air) of a person’s lungs, suffocating them. Likewise, it is plausible that, upon reaching the godtier, they become even more free-moving and can quickly dart around opponents, taking them out with their wind-like movements. Although this can be interpreted as manipulation, a Prince of Breath could destroy someone through tornadoes, strong winds, etc.
Thank you so much for this ask! It was so fun to analyse Admin Cherche (CALL OUT POST)! I am really proud of this one, so message me if there are any qualms!
The Mage of Rage is one who understands Rage or understands through Rage.
The beginning of a classpect starts with a discussion of the aspect, which in this is Rage! Rage is the aspect of resignation. It is the opposite of Hope, which is belief. Rage is the fear to accept that everything will be. It is the anxiety that there is something wrong with how it is now. It is scepticism that anything is perfect. Nothing is perfect. It is the paralysing fear of something that causes one to say no. It is the failures of possibility.
The class for this Hero of Rage is the Mage! Mages are active understanding class and gain the knowledge of their aspect through direct experience with their aspect, unlike its counterpart, the Seer, which collects its knowledge through visions of that aspect. They create a unique interpretation of their aspect from these personal experiences and thus must become more open to other opinions.
Analysis
Pre-Realisation
The Mage of Rage would understand Rage through direct experience of it. They would most likely suffer from extreme anger or fear. This has two facets: their own Rage or others’ Rage. If it is their own, they would be prone to anger issues and explosive tempers at time, or crippling anxiety that limits their life. The anxiety that they feel leads them to believe that there is something plaguing them. Cherche, for example, believes that a ghost haunts her house. She suffers from the fear of the ghost that sometimes restricts her from roaming the halls of her house at night. This is direct experience of limitations. Their anxiety may also restrain them from pursuing goals that they truly desire. What if questions are always swirling their head, contemplating all that can go awry. The fear of the unknown and what could happen prevents them from achieving their goals. They resign to not doing them because of all of the negatives outcomes that could happen from the action.
As I mentioned before, the Mages of Rage will also externally experience rage. They might endure the hateful yellings of someone, constantly berating them for this or that and how they should not have done x or y, how stupid that decision was, what it could have happened. From this, the Mage of Rage internalises these rage-filled messages and learns to fear doing anything for the possibility of the harmful outcomes. They are probably privy to extreme paranoia and constantly on their guard because of it. They have probably had the iconic scene of walking through the hallways and having people whisper about them as they stroll along. Their paranoia steps in and causes them to suspect the worse that everyone is talking about them, and perhaps this was true for them at some point. They have also probably suffered being hopeful about something against their better judgment, only to have the worst possible outcome happen to them. Like in the Heathers when Martha (probably against all other rationale) goes up to Ram and professes her seemingly reciprocated feelings.
All of these failures in trying cause them to develop an attitude to normally give up. It will not turn out well before because all of the other times have only failed. Mages like to build their outlook on experiences and tend to have S (sensing) as their informational intake preference. The Mage of Rage will need to open up to other people’s experiences of Rage, taking into account that events can play out differently.
Post-Realisation
The Mage of Rage would be a powerful ally to have. They know who hates/dislikes them or anyone else because they have directly experienced that hate. They understand when to give up and can tell their teammates which plans are futile to pursue, those that have previously had the worst outcome, in their experience. They would be able to help people understand their fears and how to deal with it, for they have too experienced the same thing. They would be very stubborn in their ways from their keen knowledge of knowing the paths that should be abandoned and the path that is right. No one can force them to do something. Rage can also be a positive force, for sometimes one has to abandon something that is inevitably hopeless or will not work out.
Of course, I can! Thank you so much for this opportunity to explore the workings of Page! It was especially fun to get creative with the possible powers upon reaching god tier.
The Page of Space is one who invites the exploitation of Space or invites exploitation through Space.
Background Information
Before we begin discussing the specifics of a Page of Space, it is best to start with the Hero’s aspect, in this case, Space! Space is the aspect of creation. It is the random evolution and mutations guided through an inner intuition that leads the Hero to be exactly what they need to be, taking them to incredibly new places. Space is the physical realm of the world and the now. They differ from the Knights in that they overcome this by showing an excessive display of their aspect (a blatant statement proving their deficit). Although they may fail in their long journey to fill their aspect-shaped void, they need to continue on, typically growing to be some of the strongest players.
Analysis
The Page of Space would lack the characteristics of Space, meaning an insufficiency in being creativity, precise, intuitive and changeable. A Page of Space would probably be very inapt at actually being creative. However, they would act like they are the original™ and try to prove this point by doing creative activities, ultimately failing. I see them as being the type to follow the widespread “countercurrent trends,” which are actually the mainstream tendencies for the unique, such as being a hipster and saying things like, “I am so unique! Everyone else is so basic wearing their rectangular glasses. Boxed glasses are the way to go!1!1!1” In reality, they too subscribe to the popular thing to do in their “special” group. This also makes them easily susceptible to people who they deem to be knowledgeable in fashion, creative writing (or any applied field) etc., which shows very well how they invite the exploitation of Space, they are allowing others to exploit (them in this case) through Space. Also, they may do this in a creative sense such as writing stories that feature common unique phrases along the lines of “her emerald orbs gleaming,” congratulating themselves on a creative job well done. Mixing those two characteristics reminds me of a person who will write fanfiction about the latest big hit, and claiming that it is their most spontaneous and authentic masterpiece yet. (Sort of how some people during the One Punch Man hype created scores of fanart, fanfiction, etc. and saying that it is their own creative art and to not compare it to One Punch Man in the slightest!)
Similarly, the Page of Space may have horrible intuition. They would definitely overcompensate for this by directing people to do x and y because they have a feeling telling them that it is the most precise course of action to take. Also, they would probably dislike change and would attempt to hide this by being a random spaz by following their off intuition.
In general, the Page of Space would need to keep working at filling its “Space-hole” (for lack of a better term) until they learned the genuine meaning of these attributes, in all likelihood, creating one of the most powerful members of their session.
Potential Powers
A Page of Space invites the exploitation of Space, its powers may include being able to transport its co-players around the session (through Space). This one is most definitely a stretch, but seeing as how Jake produced an aura of hope, perhaps the Page of Space may be able to exploit the powers of a supernova or something in that regard. Being that Space is also the aspect of precision and physical reality, the fabric of the universe, the Page may be able to exploit the size and velocity of objects to his team’s advantage. Another interesting ability that they may wield is the exploitation of creation in sburb, meaning that they can abuse the creation of anything through the alchemizer, be it weapons, helpful gadgets, whatever, be creative!
